The World's Human Zoo: Social Media, USA.

Remember back when the days of social media consisted of making your sibling get off of the house phone, so that you could dial-up to AOL Chat? Or logging onto Myspace to check to see if lil shawty from Arizona hit you back yet? I mean, the biggest dilemma you had was trying to explain to why your homeboy, who you hooped with everyday, wasn't in your top friends. These days there's no telling what you'll get sliding down your timeline. Videos of students fighting teachers. Brothers standing in the middle of the street, flashing guns and money. Social media challenges have replaced homework. Because let's face it, there's more family involvement there with hope of going viral. The invasion of of your personal and private cyber life. At least once every couple of months, we're all tuned into another episode of  "DM Gone Wrong: Celebrity Edition", waiting to see what new juice leaks out. Ready to start generating the memes and hashtags; The viral assaul...

God Don't Bless No Mess

In Chapter 2 of the Book of Judges, God had gotten fed up with the Children of Israel because they had been serving other gods. After Joshua died, Moses successor, being that they now had no leader, "and they forsook the Lord, and served Baal and Ashtaroth." (v. 13) . Baal is just another name for Satan, and makes quite a few cameos in the Old Test. Ashtaroth was the goddess of sex/fertility from what I could gather. If you keep reading on, you'll see that God saved them four times, but they still continued to go back and serve the other gods. It upset God so much, in verse 23 says: "..therefore the Lord left those nations." . He LEFT them! But that was in the Old Testament, old news right? Well, here's what the Apostle Paul said: "Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers, for what fellowship hath righteousness  with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?" 2 Corinthians 6:14  The answer to your question, in...

Serve The Meal

Have you ever had a long day? I mean, one of those “been up for 10 hours on my feet” type of days. When you stop and get food, but it’s still on the counter the morning after because you were too tired to eat it? Yea….you know what I’m talking about. So you rush to the bed. Your sweet king sized, pillow topped, overflowing with pillows, bed. Your comfort zone. Because after a long, hard day, that’s all you really want. Fall down face first, clothes and shoes still intact, you realize you need to get up. Shower or simply changing would suffice. You just need to get….comfortable. You muster up the strength to get up and get in the shower. After pulling a 10 hour shift, you just want to shower, change clothes and get in the bed!! As you’re putting on your bed clothes, you just start to think about the day you’ve had and everything that happened. Then those events may lead to thoughts about everything you have to do tomorrow or make plans for. Next thing you know you find yourself str...

Who's Really Reforming Healthcare in America?

After trying to figure out where I was going to go with the follow up to What's Happening To Our Black Men , I checked a few of my social media feeds and I found it. Health Care! Healthcare is a major topic that’s currently going on right now and I thought I’d give my take on it. So with that being said, let’s get into it shall we?!?! My thoughts started me with Moses and the striking of the rock at the Waters of Meribah (Num 20) . Now, quick summary. This passage is most known for the being the cause of Moses not being able to enter into the Promised Land. Within the first month of being in the wilderness, the people got upset with Moses because they had no food or water. They even ask him why would he bring them into the wilderness to die (v.4) .They were almost ready to kill this man! At this point, Moses and his brother Aaron, manage to sneak away from the people. They had to go pray about it lol. God then tells Moses, “Take the staff, and assemble the congregati...

AmeriKKKa's Attack on the Black Community

After hearing about the Philando Castile verdict, and given the current state that the United States is in, I was confused. Is this what really had come too? How has the African-American community fallen so low, as to be BLATANTLY MURDERED ON-CAMERA , and the killer still walk away? Where has the fight gone!? Baffled and confused myself, I went deep into prayer. I wanted some answers and with no solid black leadership to turn to, there was only one source I could think of. God. Now, this entry may be a little longer than most, but there’s some things that need to be said. HIS response to my question …..???? Float with me on this. “Founded in 1866, the Ku Klux Klan (KKK) extended into almost every southern state by 1870 and became a vehicle for white southern resistance to the Republican Party’s Reconstruction-era policies aimed at establishing political and economic equality for blacks.” The path to my answer sent me directly to my bible. Jesus was the subject, the cru...
